Seven years in the making the new OakWood design center in the OakWood Headquarters Building is ready for unveiling! Patricia and John Liptak took Ottawa At Home on a tour of the new structure on Taylor Creek Drive in Orleans.
This stunning Barry Hobin designed building is positioned to be Canada’s highest-level LEED platinum building. This is only one of the impressive features the modern building offers. The architecture is indeed striking, combining a mix of wood, metal and stone and the interior detailing is state of the art.
OakWood designers designed the interior space to feel like a window-shopping gallery for clients. Each section offers the latest in home building supplies. Walls of tile selections, plumbing and lighting fixtures compliment individual rooms to create lifestyle kitchens and bathrooms. Each space is ‘live’ with working sinks, tubs, showers and appliances to give customers an authentic experience.
Display rooms offer inspiration for varied budgets and tastes with luxury items like a La Cornue range on display and trend inspirations with the popular barn board kitchen. The entire showroom serves as a gallery portfolio offering designers and clients the ability to easily tap into tastes and styles. Everything comes together with OakWood’s exclusive software that clearly shows clients costs and details of their projects.
The design center is open to OakWood clients working with the design team turning renovation dreams into reality.
