Floral prints, denim and a standout trench are just a few of the top fashion trends you might want to put on your shopping list this spring. To help you navigate though the latest styles this season, top Canadian fashion stylist Erica Wark will be sharing all of her style picks at the St. Joe's Women's Fashion Show and Gala on Thursday, May 7th, at the Ottawa Marriott Hotel.

"You're going to see such an incredible variety of styles, silhouettes, and trends ," Erica said, "I don't want to give away too much, but I will say you'll be seeing lots of fun prints, colours and textures! St Laurent has so many fabulous stores ranging in price and style, the opportunities for highlighting outstanding trends are endless."

The fashion expert also shared that, "we're seeing bold colours and prints, florals and safari styles, monochromatic dressing, 70's trends like fringe and suede; the list goes on and on - and the best part? You can find them all at St Laurent Centre."

Before heading out to shop this spring, she recommends that you take note of what you currently have so you know what you're missing.

"Staples are key so once you have those, you can really start to dive into the many trends we're seeing for spring/summer. My advice is to try out the trends you're MOST excited about - there's a higher chance you'll incorporate it into your weekly routine," Erica said.

With a season of so many great looks, it can be hard to pick a favourite stand-out style.

"If I had to choose I would say I'm a big fan of ripped boyfriend jeans, culottes and outerwear vests! I'm also a big fan of all the amazing sandals we're seeing for the warmer weather," Erica said.

Television host Catherine Clark will be the MC for the event and the fashion show will feature some of Ottawa's most recognizable faces including award winning photographer Michelle Valberg, CTV Morning Live news reporters Lois Lee, Ottawa Citizen reporters Julie Beun and Janet Wilson, and Ottawa at Home editor in chief Mary Taggart.
