Artemano's at the Trainyards opened recently on a cold November night, but Ottawa warmly embraced the new store. Their spacious and lofty showroom was filled with beautifully dressed people, tasty wine, delicious food and wonderful live music.
Lots of "oohing" and "aahing" as guests took in the dramatically decorated showroom. Products are sourced and produced in Indonesia, Thailand and India and made from recycled Shisham (Rosewood), Suar, Acacia, Mango and Teak woods, salvaged from railway beams, old boats and homes, and even driftwood. Vintage finds mix with one-of-a- kind furniture, which still echo with their origins.
The gorgeous lighting, impossible to overlook, kept me and other guests, looking up to take them all in. I definitely have some in my sights for future projects.
Modern, yet rustic, Artemano's furniture will bring a natural organic feel into any space. Imperfections are welcomed and often highlighted in these statement pieces. Perfect for loft and condo living, ready-made products usually arrive within 4-6 weeks and some items can be customized in size or stain colour. A few pieces were even snatched up and carried right out the door last night.
