What happens when you mix 150 of Ottawa's coolest tweeps, one awesome Byward Market patio, and a hostess who knows how to throw a mean party? You get Ottawa's most talked about tweet-up of the season - Summerlude.
On June 5, Ottawa's Twitter community gathered at the amazing roof top patio of The Hard Rock Cafe, located in the heart of the city's Byward Market, to meet, mingle, dance and kick off the sunny days of summer.
Ottawa At Home editor Mary Taggart was the brainchild behind the event, which was the talk of Twitter and the place to see and be seen.
What began as a simple conversation on the social networking site one cold February evening grew into the most hotly anticipated event of the season.
Some of the best dressed and socially connected people in the city came out to enjoy an evening of music, courtesy of Latin Breeze and The Hard Rock's yummy signature sangria, served by the pitcher.
Summerlude attracted the area's hottest bloggers in entertainment, fashion, lifestyle, photography and decor as well as a guest list that was a veritable who's who of local television, radio and twitter personalities.
While the sun was hot, the fashion was hotter. If you're feeling jealous that you missed out, don't worry, while this was the first-ever Summerlude event. It certainly won't be the last!
