Let's get glamorous
Current trends in home décor are taking windows to town and dressing them in rich, sumptuous fabrics. Designers have been easing their way into the glamour movement with hints of crystal, glass and texture splashed throughout. Now glamour is all the rage and decorators are making a commitment to it by encouraging clients to spend money on extravagant window treatments. According to Mary Birtch, owner of Elite Home Decorating, the trend is
inspired by Old Hollywood.
The Look

Tailored Glamour

Ron Boivin and Claude
Benoit of Suede Contemporary
Interiors decorated two Tamarack model homes,
at Half Moon Bay, in high style.

Rich
Sumptuous Fabrics

Three complementary fabrics from the Romo collection showcase the look of Old Hollywood style. Find them at Elite Home Décor, 1134 Bank St.

Bejewelled

Adding embellishment to luxurious fabrics brings even more glamour to a window treatment.

Crystal Ball

Luxurious fabrics deserve to be hung with panache. A
brushed nickel rod with glass ball finial does the trick.
